Can. Sure a pastry stout, of the imperial kind. Sweet, warming and sticky. Toffee, caramel, dark chocolate and a berry hint. Kind of artificial feeling. Not a winner in my book, but as a pastry stout it's sure nice. 747413 260503

200ml draught at Balthazar. Clear amber body, filmy layer, fair lacing. Quite inviting smell of grainy malts added by herbal hops. Fine mixed taste of pale malts, bread, and ripe fruits. Drying close, bittersweet. Medium bodied. Pleasing. (Tromsø, 10.04.2026).

200ml draught at Balthazar. Dotted spots on the glass from a film-type layer, next-to-clear amber-golden body. Moderate aromas of pale malts and orange fruits. Quite well blended taste of ripe citrus, biscuit, and pale malts. A distant piney note to a semi-dry finish. Quite okay. In friendly company with Leif, Ellen, Eva, and King on a good Friday afternoon (Tromsø, 03.04.2026).

440ml can from Vinmonopolet Nettbutikk. Opaque golden body, declining white head, spotty lacing. Fresh smell of tropical juice. Hop fruity taste with hints of lemon, soft orange, wheat, and oats. Rounded fruity finish with a discreet bitter bite. Medium bodied. Refreshing and quite alright. (Tromsø, 02.04.2026).

440 ml can, from Vinmonopolet Sandnes Kvadrat. ABV is 8.0%. Belgian style Christmas seasonal. Dark brown colour, large beige head. Aroma of brown malts, brown kandij sugar syrup, Belgian ale yeast and dark dried fruits, hints of Christmas spices. Medium sweet flavour with the same elements, very moderate hops. Might well buy again.
