Tap. Golden, slightly misty, faint foam. Aroma: esters and spicy, apple seeds, dried apples and pears, candies. Malty taste, candies, sweetish, fruity, winey, apple seeds, pear, dense, warming.

Appearance: Clear deep gold with a small off-white frothy head of low to medium retention. Aroma and taste: Overripe apples & pears, apple seeds, candy, malt, warming alcohol, distant grassy hop. Light sweet, low to light bitterness. Mouth feel: Full minus body, soft carbonation. Summary: Fitting the style. Not bad, No awes.

Appearance: Hazy deep orange with a small off-white head of low retention. Aroma and taste: Biscuit malt, grass, floral notes. Pretty dry. medium bitter. Lingering hoppy ending. Mouth feel: Light to medium body, average to lively carbonation. Summary: It tastes better than it looks.

Appearance: Opaque deep brown with a nice ivory-coloured head. Aroma: Toast & roast, citrus, pine needles, disatnt esters, chocolate. Taste: Similar oicture. Pretty dry. Lavish hopping. Lingering bitterness. Mouth feel: Medium to full body, soft plus carbonation. Summary: A rare example of a classic RIS nowadays. Good.

330ml bottle from Pivo i PenaPaki in Moscow. Pours opaque amber with a medium-sized off-white head. Aroma is smoke, burnt wood, wheat. Taste is light sweet, smoked, fruit, wheat. Medium bitter finish. Full bodied. Very decent.
