It's so fun to order this one. :D Tap at the Pražský festival piva 2019. Hazy yellow-golden body, white head. Blasts of mint in the aroma, marred slightly by some funk that doesn't fit well with that and citric notes. Minty taste bolstered by the lemony notes, nice, well integrated light tartness. It is what it is and I very much liked it! After not liking the smoked weizenbock, really glad to see what they are actually capable of!

(bottle 0,75l from Pivní Mozaika Opava) Overall: Ok smoked weizen. Not much plum or wood. Tries to be complex but is quite light and just smoke&wheat. (But keep brewing, I like your twist ideas.) Aroma: Smoked, wheat, banana. Appearance: Hazy golden. Medium, white head. Taste: Smoked, wheat malt, banana, light fruity (maybe plum?), light sour(ish), light sweet. Palate: Medium body. Light dry finish.

Rerate: Tap at Pražský festival piva. Hazy ochre-yellow body, white head. Interesting mix of appley esters and smokey notes in the taste, only light phenols. Tart taste because of the plums, which bring light tastes too, some mild smokey notes, sweetish and tart. Far, far better in this iteration - guess it was a bad keg at Beergeek - while we couldn't finish a single small glass of this there, this was quite okay. How a single beer can vary... Original rating: 8th November, tap at Beergeek. Wow, a very daring, experimental beer from a fairly new, fairly unknown outfit! Always glad to try beers like this! Murky ochre body, tiny head. And... oh damn... the aroma... phenolic smoke, leather, odd esters, unpleasant yet pungent. The taste is, as they advertise, surprisingly drinkable and lean initially, but that's not to say that it's particularly enchanting. Quite empty, lean and tart, with the tartness growing, some plum, very very light green apple. Lacks all the basic aspects of a weizenbock (5.9% on 15°?, no WB body, no well developed esters and phenols in the taste - and the ones in the aroma are just odd). I wish I could rate this more than I do, but this, an interesting twist on one of my favorite styles, was a beer that we struggled to finish. I hope they grow and get better at this! 3/3/6/3/11

Tap at Beer Geek Bar. Very easy drinking, very nicely balanced. Rather sweet, with just light sourness. Med-light basil, moderate raspberry character. Thin body, very tasty. Well balanced and interesting. Very good.
