What else would you have after seeing the Ishtar Gate? Looks Babylonian - milkshake muddy, with a separated layer that’s darker, and loose froth (you can’t really call it head). Very sugary nose that’s yeasty, lightly fruity. Crazy - herbal, sweet with honey, dates and tons of herbs (sage, mint), liquorice root...crazy stuff. But after a glass I’ve had enough.

Draft. A hazy reddish beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt, fruit, and herbs. The flavor is very sweet with strong notes of herbs, leading to a dry herbal finish. Too sweet for my liking.

On tap. Pours a hazy, dark orangey amber with a decent off-white head. Sweetish, spicy aroma. Quite full-bodied, very sweet and fruity - exotic fruits - and again a distinct spiciness - ginger? However, the brewer claims that no spices were used - apparently it all comes down to the speciality yeast! Ends sweet without any bitterness. 090109
