Description
Mazák Brewery from Dolní Bojanovice was founded in 2011.
The brewery was founded and continues to operate in the picturesque wine-growing village of Dolní Bojanovice, located in the Lower Moravian valley 8 km from the town of Hodonín.
Over the years, the technology was brought up to the current five-vessel brewhouse, in which the brewery is able to brew a batch with a volume of 1400L. The portfolio of the brewery consists of both classic Czech and German-style lagers, as well as top-fermented beers of the ALE type. To produce beer, it uses domestic malts and hops, as well as foreign hops, which are most often used in the production of special beers.

750ml Bottle - Golden with a white head. Lime leaves, grass and some slightly herbal notes in the aroma. The taste is on the dry side and features some subtle notes of grass and herbs, but there's not one specific aspect that really stands out. There are some buttery notes in the finish. Easy to drink but nothing outstanding.

0.75l bottle, thx Fil for sharing with Ryan, Sky and me! Hazy golden body, off-white head. NZ herbs and white grapes in the aroma, quite okay. Juicy, berry hoppy notes, oniony and herbal, clean maltiness. Solid beer!

0.75l bottle from Galerie piva Vršovice. Hazy golden body, scant white head. Sweetish oaky tart citric-appley aroma, solid dry white grape notes, the oak giving it nice vanilla vibes. Dry, fruity taste, white grapes, blackcurrant of all notes, bretty, kinda feels simplistic and that's the beauty of it as all the ingredients merged into something sensible in the end. The tartness builds up sliiiightly too much in the end, but it's a great one by all means. Props to Mazák!

0.75 l bottle thanks to Marko who brought it from Prague, shared with Ogi and him. Unclear golden, small to medium off-white head. Aroma is moderately funky at first, hints of oak. Nice white grapes, berries, some apricot. A soft cheesy touch, some maple syrup. Soft yeasty doughy touch. Light body, effervescent. Slightly creamy texture. Nice soured cream flavour, sharp cheesy. Behind it, there are hints of white grapes, citrus and tart apricot. Slightly overwhelming, just a hint of astringency. Moderate sourness. Sticky, slightly syrupy. Medium body. Lactobacillus working a lot in this one. Finishes light, with sour cream and cheese lingering in the back.

750ml Bottle - Golden with a white head. Citrus, grass, spruce and some slightly herbal notes in the aroma. The taste is herbal and slightly zesty with citrus, pine, spruce and some slightly woody notes. Interesting to sample this variety on its own. I think it has a fair bit of character but I feel it would work better combined with other hops and/or in a different style to this as it doesn't really stand out enough on its own. Don't get me wrong, though, I had no trouble at all drinking this and found it enjoyable.
