Bottle 50. This batch only 7,0% and hence no longer really Imperial. Pours a clear brown with a reddish hue and a neat, lacing, beige head. Heavy smoky nose, distinct peat and iodine notes. Rich, sweet, roasty body with tobacco, tar and rather heavy peat. Rich, solid and warming and the peat is adding to the flavor rather than overpowering it. A solid black beer. 200819

Bottled. An amber beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, malt, and fruit, leading to a dry finish.

Bottle@Jespers - Amber pour with a white head. Malty medium sweet with caramel and toffee notes, some butterscotch sadly, meidum body, sweet malty close.

Sample from 50 cl bottle. Slightly hazy amber golden colour with a thin white head. Sweet aroma with vegetables, chalked notes, fruits and grasses. Taste is sweet. Medium bodied. Dry and herbal bitter finish. Poor.

50 cl bottle. Pours hazy orange. Small white head. Aroma is toasted malty. Breadish and toasted malty. Dry. Bitter. Toasted. Toffee and malty finish.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear golden with a white head. Grainy, biscuity aroma. Medium body, malty, slightly metallic with a rather massive, late bitterness. I sense a somewhat unclean note underneath, but when cold this drinks almost like a hoppy German Lager! 260619

Bottle 50 cl. Comes a massive gusher. Around 1/3 is wasted before the beer rests. Pours a cloudy opaque deep golden with a small, white head. Odd, slightly spicy aroma. Medium body, flattish carbonation. A vague fruitiness with a vague Bretty note. Unpleasant strong phenols appear late. Something is seriously wrong here. 140619

Bottle@yesprs - Dark brown to black pour with beige hesd. Dark malty with some notes of chocolate and some charcoal, dark malty, sweet malty, medium body, dark malty close.

Sample from 50 cl bottle. Dark amber colour with a medium sized off-white head. Sweet, spiced aroma with cinnamon, fruits, brown cookies and resins. Taste is sweet. Medium body with a creamy texture and an average carbonation. Finishes sweet and spicy.
