About
In our brewery, called De 7 Deugden (the 7 Virtues), we brew exclusively special beers. Our beers are different from what you are accustomed to, because we make use of several herbs and spices.

At De 7 Deugden we employ people for whom a normal job is not self-evident. The brewery offers these people a place where they matter and where they get an opportunity to develop their skills.

We call our beer brave because it is different. We don’t bother with fashion fads, habits or beer style regulations. We make beer that has taste, a lot of taste. We make beer that you wont’t easily forget. We make beer that you combine with a good meal or delicious cheeses. You can call us contrary, call the beer “particular” or “different” and when you like our beers then call yourself curious, sensualist, or even better brave.

Bottle at home, black beer, small head. Aroma is roast, coffee, malt, citrus, hops, light pine. Taste is the same, bitter, roast, coffee, citrus, hops, resin, nice.

Clear golden yellow beer with a white head. Aroma of herbal pale malt, straw, grapes. Taste of herbal and spicy malt, grains, mild belgian yeast, high carbonation.

33cl bottle. A very dark reddish brown beer with a beige head. Aroma of dark roasted malt, coffee and resinous bitter hops. Taste of roasted dark malt, coffee, ash, bitter resinous hops, spruce, liquorice. Long bitter finish.

Can at home shared with Laura. Clear golden color, white head. Smell and taste malts, ginger, some kind of peppery thingy. Weird. Not my thing at all. Bleh.

Bottle. Color: Black, large light brown head. Aroma: Cocoa, roasted malt, coffee notes. Taste: Sweetish, dry-ish, roasted malt, cocoa, some coffee. Almost a bot powdery. English style Stout. Over medium body, below average carbonation. Nice.

Bottle. ABV 7.0% nowadays. Color: Slightly hazy copper, beige to light brown head. Aroma: Dark malt, caramel. Taste: Caramel, dark malt, slightly roasted malt, some cocoa. Light hopbitterness. Moderate to over moderate sweet. Dry-ish finish. Very malty, like most Dutch Bock beers. Medium body, just below average carbonation. Ok for this style, definitely better and a bit more complexity than the big brewers Bock beers..

Bottle. Color: Hazy golden, dense white head. Aroma: Hoppy, grape, citrus hints. Taste: Hoppy, grape notes, bread and citrus hints. Malty backbone. Medium body, average carbonation. Dry-ish and bit spicy finish. Moderate bitter, moderate sweet. Ok.

Bottle. Color: Lightly hazy amber, large frothy off-white head. Aroma: Sweetish, malty, honey notes. Taste: Malty, caramel, dark malt, honey. Yeasty hints. Medium to over medium sweet, bit sticky mouthfeel. Medium body, average carbonation. Light hopbitterness, going to moderate at the dry-ish finish. Ok but nothing special.

Bottle. Brewed with ginger and lemongrass (Sereh). Color: Hazy amber, large but unstable white head. Aroma: Malty, subtle ginger and lemon notes. Taste: Malty, spicy, subtle refreshing notes of lemon. Long lasting spicy finish. Medium body, average carbonation. Not that bad, but not my kind of beer.
