Almost opaque black color, steady brownish head, lace. Alcohol and cough syrup in the nose. Medium-bodied. Mediciny, salted licorice, alcohol. Long harsh, a bit toasted aftertaste. Lots of alcohol. Odd.

Hazy amber color with compact head; the bottle is a gusher.
It’s a good beer but too old, sweetish, malty, reasonably bitter, fruity .

Bottle at ChrisO’s Great and Powerful Pre-GBBF Tasting - Are You Scottish Edition (London, 2013). Pours hazy gold with a frothy white head. Light grapefruit on the nose, some white bread. Light sweet flavor with dry fruit and pithy citrus. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly dry to finish, fairly clean. OK.

Bottle @ Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig ’13. Pours a hazy golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty weak hoppy aroma. Fruity malty weak hoppy citrus flavor. Has a fruity malty weak hoppy finish.

500 ml swingtop bottle, as Bier Factory India Pale Ale Xtra Bitter Xtra Strong. ABV is 6.7%, EBU 65, 16% stammwürz. Cloudy brown colour. large head. slightly off-white. Nice hoppy aroma of tropical fruits and citrus. Distinctly hoppy flavour, fruits first, followed by a solid bitterness. Fresh and pleasant to drink. Would buy again.

500 ml swingtop bottle, as Bier Factory Rappigold Pale Ale. ABV is 4.8%. Hazy golden colour, large white head. Aroma of floral and herbal hops, hay and new-mown grass, hints of honey. Medium sweetish flavour, notes of herbal hops. Okay, but not really great.

ChrisO’s Pre GBBF ’Are You Scottish?’ tasting. Light haze on this gold beer, little pale cream coloured head. Light dry palate. Light creamy malt. Little dried fruits. Touch of peel. Finishes dry. Tasty enough but over dry.

Bottle shared at Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig ’13, 10/08/13. Hazed golden amber with a thin off white head. Nose is grass, bitter orange, cereals, light vegetal notes. Taste comprises orange pith, light yeast, musty tones, bitter fruits. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry finish. So so.

Bottle at Chrisso’s pre GBBF shindig 2013. Cloudy golden orange pour with a cummy small head. Bready aroma. Crisp earthy flavour with some earthy hop in the finish. High carbonation anf dry finiah.
