Description
Heer en Meester Brewery was founded in Barneveld in 2015 by Wilbert Boon and Bernard Bennink and was created in the same way as many breweries have originated: with pans on the gas stove. Starting your own brewery was a fun idea: how nice would it be to be able to drink your own beer in your favorite pub? After a few years this dream was realized locally and a point of reflection was reached. The moment of scaling up or breaking down had arrived.

In the course of 2018, Wilbert and Bernard on the one hand and some Limburg beer enthusiasts on the other hand come into contact with each other and agreements are made about the move of the Heer en Meester brewery to Susteren in the Land van Swentibold and the acquisition of all equipment, the brand, the recipes and remaining ingredients. So Heer en Meester brewery receives seven new owners at the beginning of 2019 and a new chapter of the adventure begins.

In 2020, beer production at Heer en Meester slowly started again.

Bottle. Color: Pale hazy golden, white head. Taste: Medium sweet malt, notes of yeast and wheat, coriander and orange peel. Lightly hints of lemon, cornflakes and banana. In between a blond and a wheat beer, in my opinion. Easy drinkable, fresh summer beer.

Bottle. Color: Hazy golden, frothy white head. Taste: Citrus and floral hopbitterness, fruity, malt. Smooth but also flat taste. Same finish. Below medium body, medium carbonation, bit fizzy. Could have been more bitter in my opinion. Not a bad beer, but a bit dull, lacking complexity and body.
