Can, bb 2/26. Gold with a loosish 2cm white head. Slightly tired bready aroma, spices, (appropriate) hints of butter. A little more body than I wanted to go with breadcrusty malt before quite firm bitterness that doesn't quite pop. Could have used a few more bubbles. OK.

Can, Aldi. Very pale yellowish orange with a white head that's soon gone. Aroma of crackers, some earthy spices, lemon, cardboard. A little more body and sweetness than expected but bland and a bit gluey with little bitterness.

5.2% Australian version, Aldi. A spring/ summer seasonal? Really an IPA at this strength? Can. Clear pale amber, small and loose white head that's soon gone. 3- More tropical than citrus aroma with papaya meeting some slight toasted notes. A little more citrus in the taste. Lacks a little grunt but clean and tasty with a dryish, moderately bitter finish. Decent, good value. Not very Christmassy though.

Can, Aldi. Gold with a fading white head. Grainy aroma with a pleasant mix what's presumably a mix of noble hops and Pride of Ringwood. But then it's pretty vacant with pretty low bitterness. Smells nice though.

Added this as a Pale Lager - International / Premium because that's what Stone Buenaveza Salt & Lime Lager is. Is it surprising that Brewdog are still aping Stone after they ploughed into the terrain? Not really. Can, Aldi. Fizzy bright orange with a white head that lasts OK. Pleasant lime/ corn/ brine aroma. Has a bit of richness but is dryish with perhaps a little too much salt (shades of the novel The Glass Canoe? And the song The Slab?). The lime gets a bit lost. Probably would work better in Brisbane, but it's OK.

Can, Aldi. Clear reddish brown with a good cm of pale beige head. Aroma of toffee, grapefruit, hints of nectarine, biscuit & chocolate. Sweet and malty with caramel and biscuit. Then a citrusy bitterness drops in unbidden. Disjointed but pretty tasty. Is this just a local rebadge of 5am Saint?

Can, Aldi. So this is a rip off of an Australian beer now owned by a Japanese conglomerate, brewed by the local offshoot of a dodgy Scottish outfit sold in a German supermarket? Hazy yellowish orange with a white head. Aroma of passionfruit, mandarin, crackers. Quite watery. Fruit gets quite lost but there is a modest yet harsh bitterness at the end. Not so good.

Pint on tap at Brewdog, The Valley. Came with ice and lime. Not requested. Pours a murky river colour (aha! The Brown Snake). No head, nose is ginger with a touch of pepper. Very Easy-drinking. Light body, slightly spicy finish. A little bit sweeter than most of the 'new' ginger beers.
