Draft at Locality. Poured almost black in colour with a round, frothy off-white head. The aroma is roasty malt, molasses. The flavour is moderate to light sweet and liquorice bitter, with a smooth, rich yet somewhat light, roasty, earthy, liquorice, light floral palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. A little disappointing if I’m honest. Light and the flavours didn’t inspire.

Draft at Locality. Poured a slightly hazy yellow golden colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is light dank, grassy hops. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet, with a somewhat light, smooth, fresh, light buttery popcorn, dank, hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

Draft at SG Taps, Singapore. Poured a slightly hazy medium to light amber colour with an everlasting frothy white head. The aroma is big yuzu! The flavour is moderate to light bitter, with a somewhat light, but overpowering yuzu, floral hop palate. I kinda like yuzu but this is like drinking pure fruit which isn’t so great. The flavour needs to be a lot more subtle than this.

The flavour is moderate to light bitter, with a smooth, somewhat light, malt, earthy, herbal, floral, light hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation. I’m not a fan of tea infused beers and this doesn’t really work for me.

Draft at Yeast Side, Farrer Park, Singapore. Poured a crystal clear golden colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is light cherry blossom and herbal. The flavour is yeasty, light sour, with a light, crisp, fresh, dry yeasty, herbal, light floral, light spicy, dry yeasty bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation. Nicely balanced I must say. A reserved saison with subtle flavours that didn’t overpower the beer. I didn’t expect to like this so much but it’s actually really well made.

The flavour is moderate bitter, with a crisp, grainy, dry earthy, light citrus, light floral, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. The bitterness dominates. A little chewy for an IPA but that’s no bad thing.
