12 oz can. Opaque black/brown color with a big khaki head that has good retention and lacing. The aroma is cold coffee, just coffee, and more coffee, but that's Ok--I like coffee. The taste, like the aroma, is a big blast of bitter coffee, there is a bit of chocolate and some black walnut in there too. The palate seemed a bit on the thin side--I like a fuller mouthfeel. Finished log with lingering bitter coffee. Overall: Very nice

Pint at the COS Voodoo Brewpub. Pours dark brown, with a fair, khaki head. The aroma is pecan, vanilla, caraway, light toffee, and spruce. Sweet and quite malty, with a mellow, piney bitterness. Medium to heavy body, sticky, and kinda acrid. Fun and aggressive, but kinda harsh.

Can - lightly hazy gold - nose is honey malt sweetness, bright herbal character, light Belgian spiciness - flavor is moderately sweet, with late balancing bitterness, and moderate yeast spiciness - tastes like it was modeled off of Delerium Tremens and I’d say it is a decent copy of it.

(sample, can) Clear golden. Long lasting white head. Citrusy, light sweet, medium bitter. Good classic bitter IPA.
