Thanks to jjsint for sharing with Finn and me. On keg at Ale Wagon. A beige head over a deep rosewood body. Bubbly ring to the rim. Dark malty nose, semi-sweet. Rather powerful taste of toffee, chocolate and almond. Woody. Smooth,, mid-sweet malt-driven end. Well bodied. A nice one. (10.02.2019).

Keg at the Ale Wagon, Leicester. Very dark brown, translucent with an uneven film of off-white head. Sweet malty aroma with milk chocolate, with a bit of soy sauce. Well-balanced taste: it's not too sweet, but the roasted malt doesn't assault the tongue either. Long finish with notes of charcoal and dark chocolate. Medium to heavy carbonation. Decent but flawed and not all that memorable.

Handpull cask at the Ale Wagon, Leicester. Dark brown bordering on black with an off-white head. Aroma with liquorice and earthy malt. Sweet taste with blackberry notes, more liquorice, a bit of sulphur. Thin body buoyed up by some natural carbonation. Pretty damn good.
