bottle from bierpost. Hazy-cloudy golden yellow, no head, funky fruity-yeasty nose. Medium-bodied, malty sweetness plus some fruit flavours that remind me of the old, mouldy oranges I had frogotten in my cellar. Unusual and far from a Bohemian Pilsener, yet not utterly unpleasant. BBF yesterday - have to re-rate.

Bottle. Pours a hazy yellow color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty grainy weak sour aroma. Fruity malty grainy weak sour flavor. Has a fruity malty grainy finish.

Sampled @ Braukunst Live München 2015 Trübes dunkelgoldenes Bier mit einer geringen weißen Schaumkrone. Geruch hopfig, reife Früchte. Geschmack sehr malzig, viel Getreide.

Flasche (50 cl) von Hopfen & Malz, Berlin-Wedding. - Sattgelb, milchig trüb. - Nase mild hefig und schwach süßlich fruchtig, fast weizenbierartig, ohne pilstypische Hopfennoten. - Antrunk weich hefig und zitronig-säuerlich, aber nicht knackig hopfig, sondern mild essigstichig. Das soll Saazer Hopfen sein? Gut rezent, durch den mild säuerlichen Stich recht erfrischend, ähnlich wie ein Lichtenhainer oder eine Gose. Auch im Abgang kaum Hopfen, nur ein schwacher Anflug dumpfer Herbe. - Vielleicht war meine Flasche schon zwei Monate vor dem MHD verdorben, aber auch das würde den eklatanten Hopfenmangel nicht erklären. Von einem böhmischen Pilsener ist das jedenfalls himmelweit entfernt.
