Description
Found in the east end of downtown of St. John’s, BANNERMAN BREWING is a locally owned and operated brewery, tasting room, cafe and event space. Home to a lighthearted crew, we have a passion for crafting artisanal beer and sharing it with our community.
To know the story of our brewery is to know the history of our neighbourhood. Long before we poured our first beer, BANNERMAN BREWING was the location of the city’s historic East Fire Station. Originally constructed after the Great Fire of 1892, it was rebuilt in the 1950s and still stands today at the corner of Duckworth and Ordnance Street.
Our taproom features communal tables and table service where you can enjoy beer, coffee, and snacks. Come in and find an empty seat, the person next to you could be your new best friend. For takeaway beer or coffee you can head straight to the bar.

Bottle: Poured a bright golden color ale with a medium foamy head with OK retention and light retention. Aroma of funky ester with some vinous notes and some tartness with some oak presence. Taste is also a mix of funky esther with some vinous notes and a tart finish. Body is about average with OK carbonation. Well made vines barrel aged saison with good drinkability.

On tap at Stillwell. Pours clear gold with a white head. Lots of crisp dry grass and some cracker malts on the nose. Flavour is super crisp with lots of dry grass, cracker malts, and good level of carbonation; a very slight mustiness as well. Great lager.

On tap at Stillwell Freehouse. Pours opaque yellow with a white head. Lots of citrus and a swampy yeast character on the nose. Flavour has juicy citrus, lots of bitter pith, and a earthy dry finish. It's not the worst hazy out there, especially for a double, but it's hard to find a selling point.

5oz pour at Stillwell. Pours opaque dirty gold with an off-white head. Sour armpits and a touch of wet dog on the nose. Flavour has sweaty armpits, some underripe berries, and very weak acidity. What the fuck is this?
