Description

Bottled 330ml. -Straight from the bottle somewhere in Brussels. Light notes of spices in the nose. Moderate roasted malty, candy sugar and spices with notes of cinammon and dark fruits. A bit too sweet but overall good Noël.

Bottled (from Belgian Shop). Reddish amber colour, small slightly off white fluffy head, leaves nice lace. Aroma is caramel malts, some slight vegetables and mild grass and earth. Flavour is quite much the same with also a slight hint of alcoholic sweetness.
Draught@Mallaskukko, Turku. In addition to the above, this one has rather sweet tropical fruit juice concentrate/extreme nectary notes in the aroma. In the flavour it’s quite the same but has a bunch of spicyness to it as well.

10/08 0.25 l bottle courtesy of ogivlado or Doggythedog, thanks both for giving it away! It poured reddish body with pink head. Nice aroma of strawberries, some wild berries and maybe elder flowers. Flavor is completely different story, artificially sweet, even sightly sour with medicinal feel, like you drink some of those stuff from the hospital. Awful finish. Crap of a brew indeed.

Bottled(250ml). -Clear ruby coloured, medium sized pale pink head, red fruits nose. The taste is similar to sweet cough syrup with notes of red fruits and yeast. Sweet artificial fruity finish. Boring and artificial.

Bottle courtesy of ogivlado who found it I reckon at some E’Leclerc store in Slovenia (thanks!) Poured a ruby red body with a white ehad that went away fast. Sweet fruity (yes, red fruits) nose, notes of malt. Sweet, slightly soapy sugary but not terribly sticky red fruit taste with light notes of elder mixing with some light but annoying bitterness coming from the hops in the base beer I guess. Now while showing that it’s not entirely a pop, it clashes badly with the fruitiness not making this any more enjoyable. Better luck next time.

Bottle at Taverne ’t Botteltje in Oostend. As Leffe Kerstbier. Pours orange brown with a good beige head. Something of an evergreen aroma. Medium body with very frothy carbonation. Flavor is roast caramel with some evergreen note and some xmas type spice. But not overstated. Drinks better than many Leffes.
