Bottled. Pitch black colour with a mediumsized foamy beige head. Aroma is liquorice, coffee, alcohol, some ripe fruits and roasted notes. Flavour is coffee, mild vanilla, roasted malts and some mild alcohol and chocolaty notes. Rather balanced, and actually well bodied. Longlasting flavours making this a good sipper.

12 oz. can purchased at Total Wine - The Rim, San Antonio, TX. Pours a crystal clear very pale gold color with a fizzy white head and poor retention. No lacing. Souring malts aroma. Bland, watery, grainy lager flavor with a light souring malt finish. Crisp, over carbonated. Drinks like a diet soda. Poorly made.

On tap at Last Stand, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma reveals light lacto, a touch of cocoa and toasted malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with lots of semi-sweet lacto, light roasted malt and some cocoa. Nothing special, but a very pleasant example of a milk stout. Solid.

On tap at Last Stand, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out toasted malt and subdued herbal hops. Flavour is harsh, with abrasive dry hops, toasted malt and a bitter finish. Uncohesive and rather abrasive. Not too impressive.

On tap at Last Stand, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out rustic saison yeast, light esters and a touch of sweetness. Flavour is more estery, with rustic saison yeast, fruity esters and a touch of sweetness. Not overly authentic, but it works. Solid stuff.
