Tulip at the brewery - lightly hazy gold, moderate white lace - nose of melon, grass, light lemon, an almost funky yeastiness - flavor is light, bready - texture is a little watery - some mint, straw, pepper and lemon - finish is lightly spicy, but the watery character persists through the finish - eh, alright.

Glass at the brewery - dark ruby with a soapy lace - nose is hazelnut and coffee - creamy texture - flavors of toffee, coffee, nuts - medium sweet, with some earthy and complex malt character, perhaps some mushroomy English ale yeast? - decent.

Taster at the brewery - black pour - slick mouthfeel with low carbonation - excellent balance of bittersweet chocolate, savory umami notes, a fair amount of smoke, tamarind and dark fruits - kinda hot in the finish, but I’m digging it.

Taster at the brewery - clear dark gold - minimal head - clean, medium sweet, albeit rather one-dimensional heller bock - a bit of honey, toasty maltiness, floral hops - tail end has a surprising amount of alcohol heat - it’s okay.

Taster at the brewery - more in line with the traditional Dusseldorf Alt than a lot of American examples (which are maybe closer to the Dortmund Alt?) in that it is lighter in color and quite dry (a lot of American alts are dark red and quite sweet) - still, malt is center stage, it’s just dry, toasty, and earthy - light tanginess, acidity, with a finishing floral hop bitterness - a bit of leafy character - spicy finish - well-executed, but not great.

Taster at the brewery - clear gold pour - nose of pils malt, mineral, grass - flavor is lightly sweet, clean malt, light mineral dryness, mild spicy and floral hoppiness - light tanginess to cut the sweetness leading to a fairly dry finish - there is some very light background uncleanliness as it warms, but it’s super hard to notice - pretty good.

Little Machine Alternating Currant which pours a pinkish opaque orange with a nice sour tart lactic berry nose. Clean light malts, good saison yeast profile mixed in with some berry character. Decent
