Bottle. Slightly cloudy dark orange/amber sporting a massive white head. Aroma of malts (think Malzbier) and caramel. Taste of malts, wort, minerals, caramel, bread and honey. Low bitterness. Strong carbonation. It‘s a little bit too sweet for my tastes but not bad per se.

Bottle picked up from a local Getrankemarkt and consumed at home Tuesday 22nd July 2025 after our Deutschkurs, listening to New Music Fix with Nathan & Deb on 6Music cooking Scampi & Chops. Pours light/mid gold with a white head, light haziness. Light bitterness, middling fruitiness, soft mouthfeel, very soft mouthfeel, I like this, I don't care what others think and whether the ratings are low I like it.

0.33 l bottle from 'EDEKA Knudtsen', best before June 2026. Hazy, deep ruby with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, bready aroma of caramel, burnt sugar, bread crust and some grains. Rather sweet, malty, minimally fruity taste of caramel, burnt sugar, bread crust, some grains and light raisins, followed by a short, hardly bitter finish. Medium to full body, smooth and almost creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Tasty!

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear, deep amber with a small, yet lacing off-white head. Toffee, molasses aroma. Light body, distinct notes of cocoa (!) and a very subdued bitterness. Had you claimed that this contained cocoa, I would’ve believed you! 190725

Clear golden pour with a decent white head. A bit on the hoppier side, but still a very good AF
