Can thanks to Denny. Pours a hazy golden with medium white head that lasts. The aroma is wheat, floral, corn malt. Light body, wheat, corn malt, light crisp finish, good.

Nonic pint draft at the Flying Saucer in Addison, Texas. The pour is clear golden yellow with a ½ inch foamy white head. The aroma is faint, some grain and cereal. The taste is cracker cereal along with a bit of earth and dirt to the middle. The palate is light bodied with a soft carbonation. Easy drinking beer.

I saw this beer yesterday at the closest HEB as a single, by the label I thought it was a German brew. Little did I know. The brewery is in Fredericksburg, TX, I was there a couple of weeks ago. In any case I do enjoy a Kolsch. Sort of a step up from your everyday pilsner. Opening the 12 oz bottle before pouring into my Cowtown snifter, let’s keep it within the state. Serving it cold, very cold. I determine a semi-transparent lemon yellow body with a thin covering of solid white foam. I lift for a smell. A touch of citrus and something fresh. And a drink, nice on a very warm day. I taste lemon, hops and water. Minimal complexity, sometimes that is all right.

Bottle purchased in Austin, TX. Pours a clear dark amber color with a small beige head and decent retention. No lacing. Looks like an Oktoberfest. Rich malt aroma. Roasted malt and caramel flavors, but not as sweet as an Oktoberfest. A slight caustic finish. Heavy, filling body. Decent.

Draft at the brewery in Fredricksburg, TX. SRM 26. Clear, very dark copper color with a tiny off-white head. Clean, dark lager flavor. Light body for the style. Not as roasty as most black beers. Super easy drinking. Very repeatable.

Draft at the brewery in Fredricksburg, TX. SRM 3. Clear light yellow color with no head or lacing. As expected, tastes like a classic German pilsner. Sharp, crisp mouthfeel with a little bitterness in the finish. Super clean. Great example of the style.

Draft at the brewery in Fredricksburg, TX. SRM 7. Clear medium gold color with virtually no head. Light Helles flavor with some light honey flavor in the finish. Nice. Light body in spite of the well-hidden 7.0% ABV.

Draft at the brewery in Fredricksburg, TX. SRM 17. Clear dark copper color with a small off-white head. Sweet caramel flavor, lightly bready. Not as smoky as I had hoped but still very enjoyable.
