Bottle at CBJ Tasting. Dark and inky. No head. Aroma has coffee and soy sauce. Flavourwise it has espresso and mocha with a boozy edge and underlying figs and molasses. Thick. Oily. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long slightly astringent finish. Noice.

Sweet, sugary, some maple syrup, soft roast, moderate ash, toffee. Some dark fruit, cherries. Nice one, drinkable for a big pastry offering.

Bottle share at CBJ. Thanks to Wingman. Near opaque dark brown beer, a few dark tan bubbles. Smooth and slightly viscous palate, a mild dryness, reasonable fine carbonation. Fairly rich chocolate, a good mix of dark and milk. Mild marshmallow sweetness. Fair amount of spice on the smooth back end. Could be more sumptuous but liking the taste.

Panda from Colin. Cheers. Aroma is fruity berryy with booze and glue. Dark brown. Frothy beige head. Flavourwise it' has berries, coffee, chocolate and booze. Rather sweet with a sour edge. Medium bodied. Oily. Average carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Nice enough but somehow falls short.

Can shared by the head brewer at Fidens Brewing, 4/12/25. Opaque, inky black with thin head with poor retention, trace lacing. Aroma is strong sweet malt, Pistachio and late chocolate. Taste is malt, tart element, light nut and chocolate. Smooth, slightly thin texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Smells heavenly, but an unfortunate tart element to flavor so falls short for me.

16 oz can shared by tfontana, thank you Tom. Aroma is bold chocolate, mild caramel, weak roast. The flavor has the nice chocolate character with a soft undertone of pistachio. A very soft body. A tad astringent after the sip. I will pass.
