16oz (thx, Josh!) @ Matt's house. Appearance: very dark copper with a beige head. Aroma: sweet, American oak, some dark fruits, booze, a bit of spicy notes. Taste: along the same lines, moderately sweet, nice American oak. Finishes with very nice creamy notes coming from oak. Overall: nice one.

Medium brown, no head. The aroma is quite boozy, some raisiny sort of notes. On the palate, it's got some decent raisin, bourbon stuff, not as boozy. But it's not overly complex. So it's decent but definitely leaves a little something on the table in terms of both base and treatment.

Poured from 473mL can. Dark muddy brown with small beige head. Woody, some mild wood glue, dark sugars, dark fruits, lots of flavour, but not especially dialed in.

16 oz. can, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma is quite rich, with plenty of bourbon barrels, some dark fruits, toffee, and sugar -- a bit messy. Flavour is rich but not particularly complex, with bourbon barrels, toffee, and dark fruits. Surprisingly lacking in complexity or depth despite being strong and big. It's good but nothing special.

Quite pale, just a touch of haze, and a fair bit of head. The aroma has a touch of apple, a bit floral and some classic saison yeast. Has a medium pale malt, crackery, there's a touch of phenolic off-note here, the burnt one. So it's okay, but certainly not as clean as the best of style.

Dullish opaque yellow with no head. Fruity, lightly terpy, has a nice fruity character. Malts are slightly weak and that allows a somewhat unbalanced bitterness to come out.

Slight haze, pale, just a thin head. Soft malt, hops are a bit allium, touch of orange. It's okay but I guess more citra than I prefer.
