Bottle at Weyermann Fan Shop Bamberg. Clear orange brown beer lasting beige head. Kinda brown orange colour you found in the 70s. Full in the mouth. A proper bock beer. Full of malt and white pepper hops and proper hop sting on the finish. Some juiciness to it. But its big and bold and still balanced. Good bock. It got me drunk

Bottle at Weyermann Fan shop Bamberg. Hazy dirty orange brown beer lasting beige head. Wow yes that's got a lot of wine and grapefruit flavour. Its quote strong as well in abv. A formidable beer. Lots of flavour. Lots of wine. Red grapes. Red wine. Good enough. Packs a punch. Decent.

Bottle at Weyermann Fan shop .clear orange amber colour lasting beige head. Tasty enough festbier. Decent malt backbone. Some notes of orange fruit. Some maltiness. Slightly bitter on the finish. Carries abv well. A decent hoppy pleasant marzen or festbier. Good white pepper finish. Some barley sugar character. Fine.

Bottle at Weyermann Fan Shop Bamberg. Black beer lasting tan head. Some smoke on the aroma. More smoke and chocolate in the mouth. Light chocolate not heavy dark chocolate. Some dryness on the finish. Some dark jammy fruits. Its ok. Could be thicker in the mouth. Carries the flavours ok. Some juiciness. Smoke is present but not overly dominant. Fine.

"Weyermann 9, Willy Wonka Bock", ein "Starkbier" von 7,3 % (von Doppelbock ist keine Rede) im Fläschchen von Weyermann, 5.5.2026. - Dunkles Kastanienrotbraun, schwacher Schaum. - In der Nase warmes dunkles und Wiener Malz, Karamel, Waldhonig und traditionelle, aromatisch orangenbitter-herbale Hopfung. - Antrunk füllig und sauber gerstig wiener- und dunkelmalzig mit kerniger orangenbitterer und hopfenwürziger Hopfung, die gegen leise dunkle Schokolade streitet. Milder rezent, vollmundig, sauber kaschierter Alkohol. Langer, klassisch bitterer Nachtrunk mit etwas Holz. - Solider, kernig gehopfter dunkler Bock, wie auch andere Weyermann-Biere vielleicht eine Spur zu grell.

"Weyermann 79, Märzen", Fläschchen von Weyermann Living & Drinking, 28.4.2026. - Rotgold, klar. - In der Nase warm brotiges Wiener mit Karamel und robuste, gedämpft zitrusbitter-herbale Hopfung. - Antrunk kernig wienermalzig, leise nussig mit roten Beeren, nur dezent süß und hintergründig karamellig. Individuelle herbale Hopfung mit mediterranen Kräutern. Milder rezent, annähernd vollmundig, schön trocken. Im Abgang robust hopfenherb mit leise säuerlichen Anklängen. - Interessantes Märzen mit eigenwilliger herbaler Aromatik.

"Weyermann 80, Sticke Alt", Fläschchen von Weyermann Living & Drinking, 25.4.2026. - Tiefdunkles Rotbraun, klar. - In der Nase kerniges Wiener und Münchner Malz mit einem Hauch von Rauch, Brotkruste, Karamel, Toffee, aromatische zitrusbittere und herbale Hopfung und ein leiser säuerlicher Zug. - Antrunk kernig wienermalzig mit leiser obergäriger Frucht, dezenter Restsüße und wuchtiger herbaler und orangenbittere Hopfung, die leider in derbe, holzige Bittere mit Anklängen an Rost übergeht. Milder rezent, trocken, hart im Mund. Langer, unschön bitterer Nachtrunk mit säuerlich-unfrischen Zügen. - Der Versuch, die wuchtige Bittere des Düsseldorfer Originals zu imitieren, ist nicht so recht gelungen: das Ergebnis ist arg rustikal und unrund.

Thanks fonefan! Deep amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is toasted malts with some smoky tones blended with wet wood that is trying to catch fire. Flavour is rye, some burnt wet wooden tones with mild sweet malts. Mild spices to it too. Interesting one. I like this stuff!

"Weyermann 31, Summer Beech", Fläschla (MHD: 20.10.2026) von "Weyermann Living & Drinking", wie der Fanshop jetzt (albernerweise) heißt, 7.4.2026. - Orangegold, klar. - In der Nase mild-aromatische rauchige Züge über weicher, satt getreidiger Malzigkeit mit schöner Karamelsüße und dezenter herbaler Hopfung. - Antrunk kernig getreidig malzig und zart säuerlich. Nur dezent rauchig. Milde fränkische Hopfung. Schlank, durchschnittlich rezent. Noch im Abgang stört die leise säuerliche Note. - Angenehmes leichtes Rauchbier, das für meinen Geschmack etwas mehr Pep haben könnte.

Bottle (forgot where I picked it up from 🤔) had this Sunday 28th December 2025 after a lovely couple of days of mountain hikes and a short loop hike to our local Gasthof zum Sonnewald, Schofweg. We're cooking a Minced Beef and Cheese Pie, Onion Gravy, Sauteed Kale with Garlic and Pine Nuts, Tarragon Carrots, listening to Fins best of 2025. Pours dark brown edging towards black, light tan head. Smokey nose a little meaty, tangy, fruity and easy drinking, doesn't taste 6 %, straightforward smoked porter.
