31/8/2024. Bottle courtesy of danlo, cheers. Pours slightly hazy pale yellow with minimal bubbles. Aroma is honey, flowers, touch herbal, hedgerow, hint of spice and petroleum. Medium plus sweetness, light bitterness. Moderate body, light sparkling carbonation. Quite okay.

26/7/2023. Bottle shared by danlo, cheers Ed! Pours clear dark amber with minimal head. Aroma is honey, herbal, medicinal, floral, woody, musty, fungal. Medium sweetness, quite bitter. Medium body, syrupy, no carbonation. Dry and bitter finish. Not really my kind of mead.

12/7/2023. Bottle shared by danlo, cheers Ed! Pours clear dark red with minimal head. Aroma is light honey, flowers, cherry, strawberry, hint of rhubarb. Medium plus sweetness and light tartness. Medium body, oily, light carbonation. Quite enjoyable.

200ml bottle from Shire Meadery. Deep bright red colour, short-lived pink foam head that dissipates away and aroma of cherry, fruit jelly, berries, rhubarb, honey. Taste is sweet, rhubarb, cherry, fruity, berry, honey, slightly tart and woody. Medium bodied, light carbonation, sweet and drying finish. Quite drinkable.

200ml bottle from Shire Meadery. Orange amber-brown colour, afew short-lived bubbles on top and aroma of honey, earthy, leather. Taste is sweet, mushroomy, leather, honey, earthy, some peaty hints and earthy boozy notes. Medium bodied, low carbonation, drying earthy finish. Abit strange, OK.

200ml bottle from Shire Meadery. Pale yellow gold colour, thin white rim and aroma of juniper, pine, honey. Taste is sweet, honey, pine, juniper, woody, some tartness. Slightly syrupy, medium bodied, light carbonation, drying lingering sweet finish. Quite drinkable.

Taste is sweet, honey, rose oil, flowery, cherry, with some tangy japanese tea astringency. Light bodied, spritzy carbonation, lingering sweet and drying finish. Quite drinkable.
