Hazy black, small, beige head. Aroma of mocha, vanilla cream, candied plum, pear, liquorice, sweetened fondant, dark fudge. Taste has sweet plum, fig & pear in a toasty, dark-chocolatey, fudge-like malt body with a soft umami soy edge. Herbal & peppery hoppy finish, chili burn kicking in and connecting with the bitter fondant and tobacco notes, remaining sweetish (dried fruits), warming whisky-like alcohol in the very end. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Rough but noteworthy chili Stout.

Tasty barley wine... (too) Sweet... Rum raisins, Aftertaste fades fast. Flat... Alcohol well hidden. Lacks character for such a big beer imho.

25/I/22 - 33cl bottle from a trade, shared @ home, BB: 29/XII/25, bottled: I/2021, lot 201229 (2022-98)

Very dark brown beer, big solid dense beige brown head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: lots and lots of dried orange peel, some chocolate notes, candied orange peel, bit spicy, some cardamom. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very weird, soapy flavour, lots of orange peel, soft roast, floral, weird hoppy touch, caramel notes, more candied orange peel. Aftertaste: weird and soapy bitterness lingering throughout the whole beer, bitter hops, orange peel, way too much orange peel, don’t like it.
