This review was imported from my RateBeer ratings.

12 oz. bottle. Pours an opaque black with a dirty-white foam that dissipates quickly. Aroma is slightly sweet with scents of chocolate, coffee, and vanilla. Taste is moderately sweet with flavors of milk chocolate. I would consider this medium bodied, but it seems just a tad thin for a porter. Most of the porters I’ve tried have had more a "heft" to them. Texture is creamy and slightly slick. Carbonation seems to be a little more than average. The finish is more of that chocolate flavor.

Overall, this is a really nice beer. But for a porter, I wished it was a little more full bodied. Considering that my local grocery store is carrying this, I’m sure I will be drinking a lot more of this fine beer.

Tastes a bit much like an IPA but I guess that's what they mean by American trippel. Not bad though.

32 oz crowler shared with DCLawyer, poured into a tulip. Courtesy of markwise, cheers Mark! Canned 1/13/2017. Black with light tan head, big rapid forming head. Aromas of cocoa, roasty notes, coconut. Tastes of roasty notes, cocoa, caramel, light coconut, some sort of sourness like soured lactose. Medium body with a dry finish. Something off with this. Would like to try this fresher.
