Can split at L6 (home Panda), picked up from a Bottle shop in Lisboa, 18/10/22. Black with a tan cap that veers edgewards. Nose is nutty, chocolate, dried fruit rinds, baking powder, mellow roast, charr. Taste comprises chocolate, toffee, mellow roast, dried fruits, brown sugar dusting, caramel wafer. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a kiss of alcohol. Decent enough boosty porter ... comes in below the stated 12% although a touch on the simplistic side.

Can shared in London - cheers to Cloin. Pours clear deep brown with a small, foamy tan head. Medium sweet flavour, light cocoa, toasted brown bread, nips of ash and raisins. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Nice one overall.

Can shared at the Columbus tasting 13/10/2022. Many thanks to Colin. A mid brown mahogany coloured pour with a halo of loose beige head. Aroma is nutty, toasted malts, ashy roast, bark liquorice, bitter roast. Bitter. Palate is semi sweet, light tang, mellow carbonation.

(Re-rating, previous: 3.8) Review based on the BJCP2021 guidelines (style 29A: peach and passion fruit / 23A: Berliner Weisse). Can 44 cl - Batch 120423 (BB 120424). AROMA: medium-high peach and passionfruit aroma with a medium neutral sour background. APPEARANCE: orange-ish opaque color with a fruit smoothie appearance. low off-white head with no retention. TASTE: similar to the aroma with initial medium peach, followed by medium-low passionfruit and medium clean lactic acidity in place of bitterness. finishes semi-dry with a slight fruity aftertaste. MOUTHFEEL: high body with medium carbonation. no astringency. OVERALL: yet another real fruit smoothie beer with a lot of texture. well balanced though.
