Draught, half pint. @Artbeerfest 2022, Caminha (Portugal). 16/07/2022 [#5.233 Global - #289 Portugal - #1 Mania Craft Beer (My Portuguese brewery #77)] Pours dirty brown with a tan head. Poor retention. Aroma: dried fruits, caramel malts and some toffee. Taste: watery caramelly malts and dried fruits. Low bodied. Light watery. Next one please!

Tap at Bossa Brew House, Sagres. Hazy orange colour and small off-white head. Crisp tangerine and medicinal aroma. Light-bodied. Crisp, flavour has similar sweetish tangerine, some harsh yeastyness. Neh.

TASTE: initial low fruity notes, followed by medium-low grainy malt presence with a hint of honey. low background of minerally sulphur. medium-high bitterness with a dry and bitter finish. MOUTHFEEL: medium-low to low body with low carbonation. OVERALL: a pils lacking hop presence and carbonation.

APPEARANCE: meidum-light amber color and clear. medium-low beige head with medium-low retention. TASTE: initial medium-low to low malt presence (bread crust), low isovaleric, low sulphur and starting to show stale malt notes. medium-high bitterness with a dry and bitter finish. faint esters (dried grapes-like). MOUTHFELL: low body with medium-low carbonation. OVERALL: an average Altbier.

TASTE: similar to the aroma with medium notes of malt (dark chocolate) and slightly sweet background. medium-low bitterness with a semi-dry to dry finish. faint pepper. PALATE: medium-low to low body. medium-low carbonation. faint hot sensation from pepper. OVERALL: an average stout with a subtle pepper addition.

APPEARANCE: water appearance with a slight yellow tint and material in suspension. no head. TASTE: initial medium to medium-high ginger and lemon with a sweet character, followed by a high hotness from ginger that balances the sweet. finishes almost dry. MOUTHFEEL: light body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: altough there are nice ginger and lemon notes, this sample is a hard seltzer and not beer.

TASTE: initial medium malt profile with Maillard products (bread crust), slight sulphury note. medium to medium-low bitterness with a dry and somewhat bitter finish. slightly unbalanced. MOUTHFEEL: medium body with low carbonation. OVERALL: an ok Doppelbock that needs some tuning at bitterness (or attenuation) level and carbonation.
