Appeararance: Slightly fooged gold with a huge off-white head of perfect retention. Aroma: Herbal and spicy noble hop upfront, clean malt, straw behind it. Taste: Light sweet, medium bitter. Good malt & hop. Clean. Lingering hoppy ending. Mouth feel: Medium minus body, average to lively carbonation. Summary: Good. Overhopped. Nevermind.

400ml on tap at Spitsa in Moscow. Pours opaque dark brown to black with a small beige head. Aroma is milk chocolate, coffee, roasted malt. Taste is medium sweet, chocolate, roasted malt. Medium bitter finish. Medium bodied. The brewery calls it an “English Stout” but it to me it seems more American in terms of hoppiness, ABV and body.

As Velka Morava Zolotoi Yarlyk XII Years Special. AppearanceL Clear pale gold with a moderate white frothy head of decent retention. Aroma and taste: Good malts, herbal and spicy hop, fruity hints.
