Description
Our beer is brewed according to ancient recipes only from natural ingredients obtained from Latvian nature. Pure water from the Gauja National Park, barley malt, hops and yeast are used in the preparation of beer. The real taste comes from a wood-fired brewing pot. Natural sparkle and clarity of beer is obtained in the slow maturation process.
It is possible to visit the Raiskumietis brewery with a guide, who will introduce all the production processes and methods. Of course, it will be possible to taste all the production right there at the tastings.

37,5cl bottle from a Rimi Hypermarket in Latvia. Pours hazy copper coloured with a modest, off-white head. Smells like cherry candy - or sweet cherry jam. Sweet and candy-like cherry flavour is dominating. Slightly fizzy mouthfeel and a hint of acidity. Drinkable, but sweet and not very enjoyable. Reminds me of Haribo cherries. --- Beer merged from original tick of Raiskumietis Kiršu Alus Kokteilis on 25 Feb 2018 at 20:24 - Score: 5

Bottle I picked up from a Rimi, just outside of Riga. Pours quite foamy at first but layer settles and you can see some ruby red/brownish liquid. Nose has some soap, light cherry skins and chalk. Not the greatest . Tastes sweet, cherries, light bitterness. Bit too sweet maybe. Drinks easy though and is not unpleasant.

Big white head quickly disappears entirely. Hazy amber body. Earthy milky caramel aroma with fruity notes. Sweet fruity mealy taste with earthy toffee notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, mealy mouthfeel. Sweetish mealy herbal earthy aftertaste with straw and mint notes. Very interesting. Drinkable and vivid. Kind of Lithuanian. (1l PET bottle, from Alus Tirgus, Riga.)
