50cl bottle from Rimi, Tallinn. Pours clear, dark brown with a small, off-white head. Caramelly and malty aroma with hints of dried fruits. Sweet, band and not too much to offer. Drinkable it is, but not much more. Not particularly tasty caramel water.

Bottle. Pours amber-brown without head. Aroma is metallic, sweet, caramel, some hops and alcohol. Flavor is sweet and bitter, caramel, malt, and some metallic notes. Finish is stale hops. Body is watery. Overall: not as horrible as the previous ones, but I would struggle drinking whole bottle alone (thankfully I got small pour from shared bottle). Still, 8 different malts? I guess they put absolute minimum of them in this brew.

Tap@ Pörgu. Dark brown, thin brown head. Ripe banana, peppery notes, malts. Flavor has sweetness, ripe banana and licorice. Weird but surprisingly drinkable.

Tap@ Hell hunt. Pale golden with a thin white head. Smooth, clean, malty. Low bitterness, semisweet. Goes well with food I guess, but overall not much flavor wise.

From the very old notes, hence this is not a real rating, but more just a mark to myself that I have tried this at one point. This was bad and drain pour even at that time.

From the very old notes, hence this is not a real rating, but more just a mark to myself that I have tried this at one point. Rather typical viru õlu, not really hoppy as name would suggest, but I didn’t mind it at the time. Maybe I got a good bottle or was just n00b :)

50cl bottle (as "Puls Extra Lager - Jaani") from Peetri Selver, Tallinn. Pours pale clear golden with a modest, white head. Mild grainy aroma with some floral and hoppy notes, hints of citrus and dried grass. Moderate to medium sweet with mild flavour intensity and a light bitterness. Better than expected, but hardly anything to write home about.
