Very attractive pale coloured beer with a very inviting honey aroma. The honey is just as evident in the taste and I found this beer very refreshing. Not a world beater but I think this beer would be ideal served cold on a hot day.

A very strong and sweet cherry aroma in this beer which appears to be a dark lager with cherry added. I am not sure whether the cherry is artificial or not and there is no information on the label about it. The taste is fairly sweet when you first try it but becomes more mellow after a few sips. I feel that the blend of this beer is just right and the cherry aroma and taste is noticeable but not overwhelming. I am quite impressed.

Golden color, huge white cloudy head. Strong honey aroma. Sweetish honey flavors mixed with barley and typical lager beer flavors. Light grassy hops. Actually not annoying, drinkable.

Dark copper-cherry red color, small off-white head. Strong cherry aroma with light barley notes. Some harsh barley flavors but mainly cherry fruityness which is not too artifical. Semi-sweet.

Bottled. Dark reddish brown colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is cherries, dishwater and caramel. Flavour is bigtime caramel and cherry. Also some fudge and slight parfumes in the aftertaste, a rather pleasantly made brew.

Golden color, small white head. Very light, cardboard-malty aroma. Very watery, papery or cardboardish malty flavor. This is like those "light" beers. Lacks malts, lacks hops ..

Plastic bottle 1,2 ltr (BB 09/2007)
Golden color, decent white head. Strong grassy nose. Light, watery palate. Cut grass flavor, not much else. New plastic bottle model is used here and positive thing in this beer is that it lacks normal PET-bottle off-flavours. This is also much cleaner than many other previous Viru Õlu’s beers.

Bottle, 5.0%, Clear golden colour, white head. The flavour is like any other bad pils. The Estonians have done a good job cloning a cheap Danish lager.

Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Clear dark brown, average head. Sweet and caramelly. Light notes of cellar, otherwise highly reminiscent of the sweeter dark Czech beers, with it’s light roastiness and severe sweetness. Soft and without bitterness. Reasonably well executed.
