Description
Hidden Springs Ales Works is a craft brewery in the greater Tampa Heights neighborhood just north of down town Tampa.
We were born from the minds of Joshua Garman and Austin Good (two local guys who loved to brew), and we joined the neighborhood in September of 2015. Yellow Brick Row has become our home away from home, and we hope that it is your’s as well. So, swing by the Tasting Room, find yourself a seat, and enjoy one of our beers. There’s always room for more at the bar.

Mostly hazy and bright yellow, golden coloured body with a thick three to four centimetre tall off-white head that stays afloat for a long time and leaves a nasty lace on the sides of the glass. Aroma of fairly bright and tropically pineapple notes that are fresh and sweet along with some oaty and wheatie malts that seem quite mild. Medium-bodied; Strong sweetness from the fresh pineapples dominates with a crisp but dry wheat malt and a light vanilla and lactose characteristic but no real cherry nor hazlenut flavours at all. Aftertaste shows an enjoyable and sweet fresh fruit bite from the pineapple, with some addiitional sweetness from the lactose, but the easy-drinking oaty and especially wheat malts make the focus solely on the pineapples. Overall, a good beer to sample, especially if you like the cake, and can handle the sweet, but not cloying sugars from the fruit. I sampled this sixteen ounce pint-sized can purchased from Knightly Spirits in Orlando (Orange Blossom Trail), Florida on 30-April-2022 for US$4,59 sampled a day later at the pool in my hotel in Orlando, Florida on 01-May-2022 with my three kids and wife.

Mostly clear golden coloured body with a thinnish pure white head that fades pretty quickly and leaves nothing after a few seconds. Aroma of very crisp lemons and light grass with little else aside from a touch of biscuity and low-profile malt quality. Light to Medium-bodied; Super crisp and easy-going malt flavours show at first with a dash of grain and flowers on the edges, but some relatively potent grassy and piney hops show soon thereafter with a lot of bitterness here, especially on the end. Aftertaste shows a lot of bitterness with a heavy bite from the grapefruit and lemons, but the malts, while thin and easy-drinking, are potent and drying here throughout. Overall, a nice enough IPA with a deep and crisp profile that has some light grainy and herbal qualities, but a nice bitterness from the hops without much malt play at all. I sampled this sixteen ounce pint-sized can purchased from Knightly Spirits in Orlando (Orange Blossom Trail), Florida on 30-April-2022 for US$4,89 sampled a day later at the pool in my hotel in Orlando, Florida on 01-May-2022 with my three kids and wife.

Pretty hazy golden and straw coloured body with a thinnish pure white head that fades pretty quickly. Aroma of bright fruits with strawberries, apricots, pears and a dash of oranges with some noticeable sugars at the tail end of the nose. Medium-bodied; Relatively strong citrus fruit and a pure sugar flavours with some light yeast and wheat notes along with a nice tropically flavour with the oranges, guava, mango and even strawberries strong here. Aftertaste shows a pretty strong and flavourful strawberry and orange finish with a lot of caster sugar, fructose and residual sugars which show nicely throughout, but especially at the end. Overall, a nice, super fruity and easy-drinking beer that has a ton of fruit notes and almost none of the malts or hops at all. Good to sample and a nice option for pure fruity notes while being a slight soured. Keg at Craft Beer Junction, 10/02/23. Light hazed on a golden orange pour with a decent just off white cap that retains well. Nose is bitter orange, grass, melon, pine nip, toasted grains. Taste comprises orange pith, grass, hint of grapefruit, melon, pine needle, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with balanced light juicy come grassy hop bitterness. Decent clean drinking IPA.
