Cask at Four Thieves, Clapham Junction. Its strawberry is more dominant amongst its hops than its vanilla, but even the fruit isn’t that stated within this brew.

Cask at Four Thieves. It pours hazy dark brown / black with a medium light tan head. The aroma is earthy, toasty, umami, earthy, ashy, soy sauce, cocoa and dark fruits. The taste is dry, charred wood, ashy, cacao, cakey malts, burnt toast and some umami. Medium body and fine carbonation. Tastes like a sketchy home brewed cda. Not sold on this one.

Cask at Four Thieves. It pours hazy / cloudy dirty blonde with a small white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, oily, stewed orange, tangerine, sherbet and green hops. The taste is dry, bitter, oily, orange, tangerine, sweet, dungy, green rawness and chalkiness with a drying finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Some of the other versions of this series have been decent, but this is very green and raw, like it is too young. Not great…

Cask at Four Thieves. It pours clear golden – amber with a medium white head. The aroma is dough, bready malts, biscuit, dull fruitiness and some apricot. The taste is drying, bitter, doughy bread, some harshness / rawness, earthy, dungy, soapy citrus and grass. Light – medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Not a whole lot to it….

Cask at Four Thieves. Presume it's this with another name (I forget but will check). Low down aroma. Camp Coffee? Dark and glossy. Off white head, marred by being blotchy. Had to take a few swings to home in on the taste - very light bitterness with coffee and an almost herbal edge. Medium bodied but light. Average carb. Pretty abrupt finish. Could down it in one. Not unpleasant but not what you expect from a Black IPA. Weak.

At Four Thieves. Musky citrus aroma. Opaque golden amber. Thin white frothy head. Initially pretty low key mango before some more citrus bitterness kicks in. Medium bodied. Slick. Sticky residue. Average carbonation. OK. Some fruitiness but overall a bland offering. Not that interested in finishing it.
