On tap at Sooke Oceanside, pours a clear copper amber with a small white head. Aroma is correct to style, with English malt, a touch of caramel, and bready malt. Flavour is surprisingly complex for the style, with bready malt, a little caramel, and a solid bitterness to round this off. Dry and malty finish. Very good mild.

On tap at Sooke Oceanside, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out straw and cereal malt - smells clean. Flavour is dry and fresh, with lots of fresh straw and cereal graininess. Very refreshing, what I want in a lager. Solid.

Nice pinkish gold hue, big carbonation, modest head. Bigly sweet apricot on the nose with some fruit skins, tannins. Flavour is nice pale ale biscuit with mellow apricot sweetness on the back end. Very balanced in fact, working well.

Growler from the brewery. Pours with okay beige head and a heavily carbonated dark brown body. The aroma is sweet coffee, roasted barley, sweet dark chocolate. Flavour is sharp dried roasted barley with strong coffee notes. Nice bone dry finish. A surprisingly drinkable schwarzbier.

Bomber Bottle bought from the brewery way out there on Sooke Road. Pours a vaguely medium to light orange body with good carbonation and reasonably strong white foam on top. The aroma is lager-ish, lots of medium cardboard and also sharp malty grains with vague hop notes. The flavour is a lot of reasonably well crafted amber, grainy lager notes and smoothness, with some malt backing it up. Again reasonably efficient and certainly drinkable, but there's nothing spectacular nor memorable here - it's all simply okay. Worthwhile while in the area, but I wouldn't book my helicopter ticket just yet only to try this out.

Bottle bought from the brewery, transported away from the island. So there's that. This pours a heavily carbonated medium gold with modest bleach white head. The aroma is soft vegetable lager with some grain cardboard funk. The flavour is sugary grain with soft hop notes, and a reasonably full mouthfeel. Medium, middling, adequate, serviceable, but uninteresting.

On tap at the brewery. Has okay foam on top of a clear gold body. Nice strong hoppiness on the nose. Flavour is good chewy hops with some nice sugary sweetness. It's a decent IPA though a bit heavy on the sugar.
