Moonwake: “the moon’s reflection on a body of water” speaks to the brewery’s Leith Shore location, the importance of water as an ingredient, and our beer’s reflection of our collective experience.

Our beer is precision brewed with mindful intention on modern technology using quality ingredients.

Our founders started their beer careers on opposite sides of the world, Vinny in New Zealand and Fin in the UK. They bring over a decade of collective experience in brewing to Moonwake, for both of them brewing is their creative outlet.

Can from Cork & Cask. Hazy amber body with an off-white head that fades. Lively carbonation. Patchy lacing. Aroma of banana and brown bread. Flavour of red apple and banana yoghurt. Medium body with a smooth texture. Light fizz. Big banana vibes. A tasty weissbier.

Can bought at Twisted Crow, Basingstoke. Aroma has perfumed dark fruits and liquorice. Dark. Cola tint. Thick foamy beige head that attempts to escape the glass and throttle me, which is what I suspect my wife wants to do as I am forcing her to watch Beer Masters. Light-medium bitter. Mocha. Spice. Light liquorice. A fruity edge. Medium bodied. Oily. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long slightly astringent finish. Easy drinking. Enjoyable.

Can online from Cork & Cask, Edinburgh. Pours clear amber gold with a white cap. Light gooseberry aroma. Light sweet & moderate to heavy bitter, bead, very faint NS hop characteristics. Light to medium body with soft carbonation. Too bitter and not enough NS, for me

Thin beige head on a hazy dull golden coloured body. Bubble gum & Fruit Salad sweets aroma. Medium bodied, smooth with a lively back. Bitter, pith, grapefruit & resin tastes with a hoppy finish. Deece.

Appearance is golden, with a 1-2 finger thick white head. Aroma is hops, malty wheaty hints, bit of citrus fruit. Taste is juicy hops, orange, grapefruit, pineapple hints, citrus fruit, tangy fruity hops, bitter juicy finish.

Keg at the brewery. Pours hazy golden amber, nose is toffee, hay, lemon, taste is similar, light bitterness.
