9 September 2018. At Brouwbar, Ghent. Shared with Anke.
Pours clear golden with a lasting, big, foamy, white head; lots of lacing. Fresh aroma of peach, red apple, red grape, mango, grapefruit peel, kiwi, faint almond & bread. It tastes light fruity sweet, hints of peach & mango, and light to medium hoppy bitter, grapefruit peel & orange rind; bit bready with a touch of raisin. Dry, peppery & almost resinous hoppy finish but quickly balanced by a lingering fruitiness and warming alcohol. Medium body, slick/oily texture, soft carbonation. Subtle, elegant, easily drinkable DIPA - though I'd prefer the NEIPA too!

9 September 2018. At Brouwbar, Ghent. Shared with Anke.
Pours clear yellow with a lasitng, small, unstable, frothy, off-white head; some lacing. Aroma of baker's yeast, freshly baked bread, white pepper, rye, almond & artisan marzipan (frangipane!), apple, unripe apricot & dried banana. It tastes medium malty sweet, almond, frangipane again, even cookie, with a yeasty touch, and light to medium spicy bitter, peppery & faintly hoppy. Dryish, peppery hoppy finish, a tad spicy, lingering yeast, touch of citrus, warming gin alcohol. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. The - so far - least adventurous Brouwbar brew, but unusual and interesting, although the yeastiness is very thick in this one.

Pours clear golden with an orange hue and a lasting, big, foamy, off-white head; irregular lacing. Aroma of lime juice, lemon zest, bread, sourdough, hand soap, gin, white pepper. It tastes medium fruity sour, quite yeasty, balancing lime juice & lemon zest; fruity sweet touch of apple & pear in the medium hoppy bitter middle, hints of earth & pine. Dry, peppery hoppy finish, sourish dough in the back. Medium body, slick texture, lively carbonation. Though not my favourite style, it's quite elegant and easy to drink.
