Cloudy orange coloured body with a very thin off-white head. Aroma of alcohol, hops, light malt and some subtle sugars. Medium-Bodied; Strong hop flavour with some citrus and a lot of pine with a very pungent alcohol note throughout. Aftertaste is nice with a lot of hops, some subdued grain, citrus and a little earthiness. Overall, nice with some good flavours, however not much complexity. I sampled this 65cL bottle purchased locally at Spitzer’s Liquor in Norman, Oklahoma on 13-September-2014 for US$7,99 sampled while tailgating in Norman, Oklahoma later in the day while watching OU Football play Tennessee!

Sampled from the tap at Tapwerks Stout Day. Pours black with a dark brown head that dissipates to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma combines roasted malts, dark grain and a bit of pine hops with some resin. Flavor starts with pine that mellows in to bitter dark grains with roasted malts and dark chocolate.

Sampled from the tap at Tapwerks Stout Day. Pours black with a chalky brown head that dissipates ot the edges. Aroma has lots of roasted malts with a hint of smoke and backing dark grains as well as a bit of bitterness. Flavor has a good amount of smoke and roast backed by bitter dark grains.

Sampled from the tap at Tapwerks Stout Day. Pours a clear dark brown with a gray head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has roasted malts and dark grains with a hint of dark chocolate. Flavor has more sweet dark grains with a bit of chocolate and a roasted malt finish.

Sampled from the tap at Tapwerks Stout Day. Pours a near clear dark brown with a gray head that dissipates completely. Aroma has a nice roasted bacon note, some smokey meat, dark grains and a bit for roasted malts. Flavor is a touch thin with bacon and roasted malts, not much bourbon.

Growler. Pours a clear orange with a slight gold hue and a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has lots of sweet citrus with a touch of bitterness, resin and a hint of coriander. Flavor has more of a grass and citrus combination with a bit of coriander and grain backing.

Growler from the brewery. Pours black with a dark brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a great combination of dark grains, roasted malts and a pumpkin pie note. Flavor has roasted malts and dark grains up front with growing pumpkin pie and vanilla notes.

16oz can shared by Ben. Filtered orange-tan. Foamy white head. Rather classic US IPA. Has a nice orange tone in the hops. Nice depth there. Toasty English malt and yeast. Easy going. Good.

16 oz. can thanks in trade to Phatdog1. Pitch black with fast dying, tan head. Aroma is old cold coffee, light roasted malt, caramel candy.
The flavor is pretty much identical to the aroma. Body is medium with a chalky texture. Moderate roasted character in the finish. Overall, average but rather easy to dink.

Aroma has a spent grain note with some earthy grains, a bit of leaves and a hint of sweetness. Flavor has a bit more sweetness but mainly a grain and bread combination with a bit of earthiness.
