For centuries the production of beer hasn’t changed. We also brew our beer the same way as generations did before us. Fine and aromatic varieties of hops as well as special and chosen malts are the most important ingredients in this process.
Our brewmaster even reveals a bit more: we brew with the purest spring water from the Zermatt Alps. Once the brew is cooled off and mixed with yeast the beer ferments at cool temperature for about a week. After that it spends another four to six weeks in storage tanks until it develops the right alcohol and carbon dioxide content. Then the ready to drink beer is bottled – naturally, right here in Zermatt.

A correct one, after a nice day at the swimming pool, at Renens. For me, it is a classical pils, amber, on the German, metalic note, bready, side of toffee, little touch of honey, perle hop, 18.07.20, buying it at the big coop, Eyholz.

(Bottle) Pours hazy golden amber with small white head. Aroma has slightly fruity notes and hints of bread and grass. Light body with fine bright carbonation. Citrusy start with some biscuit malt notes. Some pleasant bitterness in finish. Pleasant enough, if unexceptional, lager.

Bottle 33cl. from a Coop supermarket (in Zermatt) @hotel room in Zermatt, poured into a tumbler. Slightly unclear medium golden colour, fair frothy white head, mostly diminishing, some lacing. Aroma sweet malt, caramel, biscuit, some yeast, herbal notes. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, caramel, grain, light spicy notes. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, malty sweetbitter aftertaste, husky notes give it a bit coarse impression, okay.

Draught at Bierliebe & Friends, Luzern. Lightly cloudy, amber colored. AROMA- sweet malty, toasted malts, honey, touch of bread crusts, touch of alcohol, touch of noble hops. FLAVOR- very smooth, slightly sweet, almost no bitter, toasted malts, bread crusts, just touch of hops. Medium to fuller bodied. Somewhat unbalanced, too malty I'm afraid.
