On tap at Ebenezers, Crewe. Pours a murky golden yellow with minimal white head. There’s a strong aroma of coffee plus some hints of chocolate. In the mouth it has a tangy and effervescent texture with floral hops from the start. Later on coffee, chocolate and some hints of ginger come through as well. This is an interesting beer – possibly the first one I’ve had that justified the label “white stout”. PS the 6th review of this been, but the 1st not shared from the same can !!

Can split at Tilt, Bingo-Cotts Convention, Thanks to John who passed this to one of us in Notts 08/07/23. Moderately hazed golden orange with a just off white cap that thins to a swirl. Nose is coffee grinds, light white pepper, stewed fruits, caramel. Taste comprises coffee but not as good as the nose, straw, herb, caramel wafer. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough for a style I doubt I'll ever get on with ... at least it has a good coffee vibe, especially on the nose.

Can split at the Neon Raptor taproom thanks to John, Notts get together, 07/07/23. Murky fruit smoothie orange with a reddish glint and topped with a faint crimson cap. Nose is tangy berry fruits, herb, raspberry yoghurt, damp straw. Taste comprises tarte berries, lactic tang, hint of perfume, vanilla yoghurt, grass, grains, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced puckering spike. Fun enough sour.
