[September 2023] Dark brown, near black, with bubbly/frothy tan head. Big vanilla ice cream vibes on the nose, with a hint of smokiness. Smooth, creamy and sweet with vanilla, chocolate, mellow coffee and dark malt all in the mix

Cask @ Shrewsbury Real Ale Festival 2023. Pours dark, beige head. Aroma of vanilla, espresso and dark chocolate malt. Creamy palate with a nice integration of vanilla and dark malt with some good espresso notes in the shadows. Contender for beer of the festival!

As Ludlow Silent Knight. Black colour with a tan head. Aroma and taste are rich chocolate malty and bitter. Light sweetness. Rich smooth body.

10th February 2023; Ludlow Brewery Valentine Beer Festival, keg half-pint. Black bodied with a tanned topping. Incredible vanilla aroma with a coffee and sweet vanilla taste. Full bodied and silky.

10th February 2023; Ludlow Brewery Valentine Beer Festival, keg half-pint. Misty golden pour, smooth white head. Grapefruit like aroma and taste, other citrus fruits involved.

Hand-pulled half-pint in Cromwell's, Shrewsbury on 31st October 2022. Red hue to the brown body, beige head on top. Strawberry nose, taste was of bitter strawberries, interesting.

Cask @ Cromwell's Tap House, Shrewsbury. Deep amber pour with off-white head. Malty nose with a light strawberry presence. Taste sees a standard red ale character with mild strawberry syrup notes providing a gentle sweetness. Quite pleasant.

Keg @ Ludlow Brewery with Eric, Sylvie and Sophie. Misty yellow appearance, small white head. Nicely tropical character, light drinkable feel. Decent.

Keg @ Ludlow Brewery. Misty golden yellow appearance, small white head. Pleasantly sweet tropical nose, light bubblegum. Good tropical citrus character, with nice grapefruit notes, good bitter close. Decent.
