Sour Lake: Watermelon-Lime from Broad Leaf Brewery & Spirits

Sample at the brewpub. Slightly hazy golden color with a thin white head that dissipates quickly to a wispy film. Short strings of lace. Aroma of watermelon, wheat and citrus. Light-bodied with flavors of candied watermelon, wheat, lime and doughy malt. The finish is fruity with a melon and citrus aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Sample at the brewpub. Clear copper-orange color with a thin bone white head that diminishes steadily to a wispy film. Short strings of lace. Aroma of citrus, yeast and malt. Medium body with flavors of tart grapefruit, floral hop, herbal yeast and doughy malt. The finish is tart with a citrusy hop aftertaste. Above average overall.

Sample at the brewpub. Brown-black pour with a medium beige head that diminishes steadily to a film. Patchy lacing. Malt, peanut, chocolate and vanilla aroma. Medium body with flavors of chocolate malt, roasted peanut and vanilla. The finish is roasty and sweet with a peanut butter cup aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Sample at the brewpub. Cloudy yellow-gold color with a medium thick frothy white head that diminishes gradually to a film. Sticky strings of lace. Malt, fruity yeast and hops in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of floral hops, stone fruit, malt and yeast. The finish is fruity yeast and mild hops. Decent overall.

Light-bodied with flavors of grassy hop, grapefruit and biscuit malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a citrusy hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

Light to medium body with flavors of resiny hops, tropical fruit and biscuit malt. The finish is mildly bitter and dank with a fruity hop aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Light-bodied with flavors of resiny hop, peach, yeast and caramel malt. The finish is fruity with a mildly dank hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall.
