The Kern River Brewing Company is a privately owned “S” Corporation and is managed by a three-member board of directors. The business of the company is the production of fresh high-quality beer and food in a fun, comfortable environment. Out of balance and hops seem to be old, not too drinkable. There was some Citrus and bitterness in there but again it was oxidized. One and done.

Waxed bomber from Bine & Vine. Pours dark brn/blk with a dark tan head. Chocolate, moderately earthy, over dark malt. Full bodied. Flavor suggests cacao nibs and dark treacle. Earthy. Not dry, but not syrupy. There's a burn which could be hop or might be heat. Overall it seems bitter. Bitter chocolate. Not really getting lactose, but there is a little honey on my lips. I can't recall many ISs that tasted like this - stands out a bit from the crowd - good flavor and very drinkable.
