Description
At the gateway to the Sequoia National Forest, Kern River Brewery is Kernville's only brewpub. This makes KRBC much more than just a restaurant; it's an attraction in itself.
The Kern River Brewing Company is a privately owned “S” Corporation and is managed by a three-member board of directors. The business of the company is the production of fresh high-quality beer and food in a fun, comfortable environment. Kyle Smith, Eric Giddens and Rebecca Giddens make up the perfect combination to do just that.

From bomber to tulip. Aroma is potpourri and wheated malt. Cloudy yellow-gold with moderate white head that retains fairly well with patterns down the glass and moderate wispy clouds across the top. Full collar of small bubbles. Taste is restrained mixture of citrus, grapefruit and white wheat. Even though this is "restrained" - I do not mean it in a bad way as it blends nicely. Just not over the top. The 8.2% is hidden well by this balanced beer. Might be the pils malt bringing this all into a nice, clean profile. Nothing is outstanding, but it is all very good.

Hazy golden color. The sweetness is moderate, the alcohol is barely noticeable, it's fruity and extrimely resiny, a bit sweaty, powerful but balanced. You need to brew a Triple IPA, this is a good reference.

22 oz. bottle, pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma is intense, with lots of resinous hops, alcohol and sweet caramel malts. Flavour is very similar, with lots of resinous hops, alcohol (some gasoline), and sweet bready malt. Boozy and fairly sweet. It's not bad, but below Kern River average.

Pale. Hazy. Not much head. There's a fair bit of hop - chewy, orangey, so not bad. Bitter, grapefruit, some biscuity, chewy malts, but the hops are really nice, with bright citrus notes and a little bit of pine. Alcohol fairly well disguised in comparison to most of the other things.

22 oz. bottle, pours a cloudy bright golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out a lovely piney hop character, with stone fruits and light caramel malts. Flavour is very fruity, with loads of piney hops, lots of resins, stone fruits and lightly sweet caramel malt. Great interplay with the piney hops and stone fruits. Excellent.

Hazy, pale. Thin head. The aroma is limey and orangey, with a little bit of pale malt. On the palate, a pithy citrus bitterness, with crabapple, touch of pine, and a little bit of papaya as well...a real hop melange. The malts are pale, and showcase the hops quite well. This is really tasty.
