Pretty average pastry brown ale. At least they underplayed the cinnamon but on the other hand you can barely taste cinnamon at all. Other than that there's a little bit of caramel it's definitely sweet but has decent carbonation. Could do worse and could do better.

12 ounce can from Woodman's Oak Creek, 9/12/20. Fuck these trendy beers. Hazy orange, large fizzy white head, poor retention. I don't know does corn syrup kill head retention? Aroma of wheat, spice, fruity notes (yes, like gummy bears). Taste pretty much matches. Thin, seems artificial. Because it is. Poor.

Can from Binny's, dated 3/31. Dark amber pour under a fizzy head. A little hop and candi sugar in the nose, some aromatic malt and a note of spice. The taste is pretty sweet. Hop bitterness is low. Instead there's a bit of fruit; apple and grape, perhaps. Slight bite of yeast suggests a secondary ferment, but it's very subtle. And the beer is pretty clear. Sweetness forces attention away from any extra alcohol.

12 oz. can. Solid pine and resin American Pale Ale nose. Pours a slightly hazy copper beer under a foamy off-white head. The first thing on the tongue is a very sticky malt presence. For once, malts that try to push aside the strong American hop profile. The result is a pretty heft, almost Imperial IPA profile for an only slightly elevated IPA. Pretty good for one of their standard canned beers. Tasted August 2019.

12 oz can from Binny's. Pours very hazy, visible floaty bits appropriate to a weizen. Kicks up a spongy head that takes a while to dissipate. Smell has a bit of tartness from a fruit beer, and some wheat beer spice, but not a lot. Taste has a bit of sweetness and fruit flavor, I am suspecting from fructose in those gummies. After the first half, the taste kind of becomes saccharine. It's okay, but you need to be ready for it.

Taster at Binny's North Riverside. I may not like the milkshake style as much as other people. Has a nice fruity nose, but in the mouth, I just had some residual sweetness, and a tropical fruit hop profile.
