Draught @ All In Beer Fest 2014. Pours hazy pale golden with a frothy offwhite head that leaves a small trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is sharp,and fruity with crackers, biscuits, butter, grapefruit, grass, laundry detergent and zest from overripe lemons. Taste is bitter with crackers, butter, grapefruit, grass, pine, orange pith and lemon zest. mouthfeel is watery, astringent and light bodied. Smell is malty and fruity with buttered bread, caramel, grapefruit, grass, pine and lemon zest. taste is bitter with bread, butter, grapefruit, grass, pine and lemon zest. mouthfeel is astringent and medium bodied. Finally someone who dares to make a really spicy beer with chili. While all others chicken out this is the spiciest beer I’ve ever had. Bear in mind that I’m quite a chilihead, so my review might be a bit biased by that compared to others. Heavy typical oily habanero aroma and taste that starts burning right from the first sip. I’d love to try this in a texas chili or similar.
