16 oz. can from Orange & Brew. Slightly hazy gold color, surprising for all the goop in there. Big bubble off-white head. Pie spice in the nose, a slight note of coffee. And the taste does have some more of that pumpkin pie spice. Slight trace of coffee. The lactose does manifest as some extra stickiness on the lips. There are a lot of flavors that might have been interesting on their own, but the combination just over whelms the beer.

16 oz. can, 99¢ at Prestige Liquors. Pours a murky dark yellow color, like an apricot juice. No foam. Smell doesn't quite stand out, just a general tart style beer. Taste is quite nice in spite of the appearance. A mild tartness around a berry fruit cereal note. Lactose sweetness is what keeps the tartness on the happy side

Can shared with others. Pours a near clear dull yellow gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has dank citrus with light onion, earthy sweet grains and a bit of grass underlying. Flavor has dank citrus and earthy mango with a bit of grass and sweet grain backing.

Can from Binny's, Chicago. Cloudy black, small, beige head. Aroma of fondant, espresso, vanilla cream, coffee liqueur, brandy, roasted almond, meringue, leather. Taste has sweet date & fig, in a thick dark-chocolatey, fondant sauce-like malt body with a note of vanilla and bitter espresso. Earthy hoppy finish offering coffee, fondant & warming brandy-like alcohol. Full body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Expressive and a very pleasant surprise.

Sampled from the tap at Solemn Oath with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces. Aroma has light tropical fruits with a bit of citrus and light grains underlying. Flavor has dank citrus and funky guava with sweet grains underlying.

Appearance is murky papaya orange-brown, rather dark, topped with a thick cream head. Nose sweet and juicy, with guava, peach, passionfruit, and papaya. Body is a sweet, fermented tropical fruit cocktail, with papaya, guava, passionfruit, and some earthy-oniony bitterness. Nicely executed.

Draft at Orange & Brew. Very hazy orange color, with a layer of parfait foam. Heavy smell of what I think are Amarillo's, or Citra. Full-on New England hazy hop flavor, bit they only describe themselves as an imperial IPA, so here we are. Hop bitterness almost burns. Very much not a swigging beer. Interesting contrast to the previous Naturdays.

Hazy orange-brown body, thin tight cream head. Aroma earthy-sweet, light at serving temperature, opening up a bit with warmth, mostly candied fruits. Body delightfully smooth with huge candied tropical fruits (papaya and pineapple mostly), tangerine, and grapefruit peel. Finishes earthy. Dangerously quaffable at 8.5% ABV.
