Appearance: Foggy chestnut brown with a one finger tall ivory-coloured head of low to medium retention. Aroma: Caramel, toast, toffee, smoke, esters, dried fruit. Taste: Light to medium sweet, light bitter. Caramel, toast, toffee, esters, dried fruit, smoke, hop. Hoppy aftertaste. Mouth feel: Medium body, soft to average carbonation. Summary: Not bad as for quality. Precious as a rare style in the smoothie world.

Can sample at a tasting at troubles' place. Thanks Max. Muddy orange. Weird aroma with fruits and candies, sulphur, vanilla, burnt plastic, tomato juice. Sour and sweetish. Weird and not too pleasant. A train wreck of a beer.

330ml can. Jet black colour with average, frothy, slowly osteoporosing, minimally lacing, dark beige to tan head. Intense hoppy aroma with notes of pine, resin, blackberry, a leafy touch of shrubs, roasty, chocolately, dark malty background with hints of chocolate sauce, a touch of treacle. Taste is sweet-ish, chocolately, dark malty and fruity, slightly piney, mildly bitter hoppy, notes of blackberry, dark chocolate, some treacle, blue grape juice. Less fruity, more resinous and piney hoppy as well as roasty dark malty finish; well hidden alcohol. Oily to viscous texture, smooth and soft palate, very fine, mildly prickly carbonation. Intense and condensed, not overly complex, dangerously drinkable - very good.

Appearance: Opaque deep brown to black with a one finger tall tan head of good retention. Aroma: Good ground coffee, toast and roast, cookies, salt, vinous notes, distant esters. Taste: Light to medium sweet, light bitter. Dominant good coffee, roasted barley, dark chocolate, vinous notes, prune, floral hop. hoppy ending. Mouth feel: Medium plus body, appropriate carbonation. Summary: High class.

Can sourced from Beerdome and drunk at home - hazy yellow with a big white head. Sweet juicy fruity with lots of grapefruit and pineapple, mango and lemon, midget gem gummy sweetshop sweets, touch of Talus green herb, light creamy sweet supportive malts, solid hoppy finish. Does verge a tad sweet but works well overall. Good stuff.
