Tap. Golden, misty, off-white foam. Aroma: sweet, a little yeast, light malt, a little fruity. Malty taste with hops, a little fruity, biscuit, traces of citrus and yeasts, bitter, I expected more from the IPA.

Appearance: Foggy deep gold with a large off-white frothy head of perfect retention. Aroma: Candied oranges and mandarines, resin and pine needles, distant yeast esters. Taste: Pretty the same. Light to medium sweet and medium bitter. Grapefruit ending. Mouth feel: Medium body, Average to lively carbonation. Overall: Quite basic, just OK.

Bottled, from the brewery (as Bierbank Russian Imperial Stout, 11.5%) Black, small beige head. Peppery nose with chocolate and licorice. Mid sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Chocolate and black pepper. Peppery warming finish. Rather elegant for an Imperial Stout.
