On tap at the brewery.
Aroma is malt forward with lots of caramel, toffee, burnt sugar and hints of chocolate and treacle. Some toasted bread as well. Light notes of raisins and dried fruits. Light bourbon and alcohol notes with hints of oak.
Pours a dark brown color with lighter brown hues and a medium sized, thick, tan head that recedes steadily to a small film that lingers on the edges. Hints of lacing and long legs.
Flavor is very sweet with lots of caramel, toffee and burnt sugar notes. Some toasted breads and hints of chocolate and treacle. Medium low bitterness and moderate alcohol notes. Light oak and bourbon notes.
Mouthfeel is full bodied and sticky with medium low carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth.
Overall, a decent barleywine but I would have liked it to have fermented out a bit more. It's very sweet. Nice malt notes though and the sweetness hides the alcohol.

Poured from a 16 oz can dated June 25, 2024. Aroma has a light bready grain note with notes of rice. Light notes of floral, grassy hops and a hint of alcohol. Pours a very clear, very pale, yellow straw color with a medium large, thick, pillowy, white head that recedes quickly to a small film that lingers. Light lacing and faint legs. Flavor is a bit sweet with light bready grain and rice notes. Low bitterness and hints of alcohol. Light floral hop notes. Mouthfeel is very light bodied and crisp with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a quintessential American light lager. I'm not sure it's anything more special than a Bud Light, but it's the craft version of it. If you want to drink a Bud and support a craft brewery, this is the beer for you. I don't usually want to drink an American light lager though.
